Issue #2: 8.15.12

By J.Bunch — August 15, 2012

A lot of great stuff in this issue.  If you haven’t subscribed yet, you certainly should feel free to do so, and you can get all of the details [here].

Here’s what you’ll find in this mid-August issue:

The Hunt – Perhaps you’re a bow hunter who hasn’t quite decided where to hunt this year.  If that’s you, we have an article that can help you make up your mind that looks at the [Top 3 places to bow hunt in Idaho].  Or, even if you think you know where you’re going to go, this might change your mind.

The Cast – Fishing for carp seems to be getting to be quite the big deal nowadays.  I remember as a kid shooting them with a .22.  Never thought much about trying to catch them with a fly rod, but Chris Cutler [writes about doing just that] in Idaho waters.

The Land – In this issue we’re highlighting the land of the Camas Prairie of Southern Idaho, the town of Fairfield, and the popular Unit 44.  Complete with a Sunday-afternoon-drive-like video and a plethora of pictures, you should [get an idea for the lay of the land there] – one of Idaho’s treasures.

Guests & Interviews – Before elk season starts in earnest, we thought we’d interview our very own Editor – Jeremy Bunch – who has done a ton of homework on the state’s elk zones.  All of them.  He took the time to give us a [breakdown of every elk zone in the state].

In the next issue, the focus will switch to deer hunting, now that we’ve, hopefully, filled you in on all the elk details.  Something to look forward to ~

Not much news to talk about this week.  We’re just all getting hyped up for Fall hunting & fishing.  And looking forward to what the IF&G comes up with at their Summit.  Enjoy this issue’s articles, and we’ll see you back here on September 1 for the next one.
